Dalit leader Prakash Ambedkar will lead an agitation in Mumbai against Nupur Sharma over remarks on Prophet Muhammad.
The grandson of BR Ambedkar on Tuesday announced a massive agitation in Mumbai on June 17 against the remarks made by Nupur Sharma on Prophet. Dalit leader Prakash Ambedkar will lead the agitation along with workers of his party, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, and various Muslim outfits.
The agitation comes amid a row involving remarks on Prophet Muhammad by now-suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.

Following the announcement, Mumbai Police is on high alert to prevent any untoward incident. Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Vase Patil said that police are on alert to ensure the law and order situation doesn't deteriorate in the state.
