Boston Globe column denies that American colleges are ‘left-wing hotbeds’: ‘Not indoctrinating students’

A New York University professor published a column in the Boston Globe this week arguing that "no elite university is driven by left-wing politics."
He opened the column declaring, "But here’s the simple truth: No elite university is driven by left-wing politics. It can seem otherwise, because over the course of our young century universities have committed themselves to social justice rhetoric. But they have not committed themselves to social justice." Gabriel Hays is an associate editor for Fox News Digital.
Weatherby’s first argument was that although there is a "good deal" of leftwing activism and that prominent leftwing figures are being produced by these schools, there are also "influential moderates and conservatives" being pumped out by them, like "Brett Kavanaugh (Yale) and Representative Elise Stefanik (Harvard)," he noted.
