Borussia Dortmund insist they will not join European Super League

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that they will not be one of the clubs joining the proposed Super League and will be backing the proposed Champions League reform.

Borussia Dortmund are fully behind the proposed Champions League reform and will not be one of the clubs joining the proposed European Super League. The European Super League was announced with 12 founding clubs -- AC Milan, Arsenal FC, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus FC, Liverpool FC, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid CF and Tottenham Hotspur. No clubs from France or Germany have signed up to the proposed league even as the Super League statement said 3 more founding clubs would be added to the list. The announcement came just hours before UEFA is due to sign off on its own plans for an expanded and restructured 36-team Champions League on Monday. The Super League confirmed on Sunday that each of the 15 founding members would get a share of at least 3.5 billion euros ($4.2 billion) in initial infrastructure grants.
