In the viral video, a bootlegger and his aides can be seen chasing down the cops on road and brutally thrashing them with sticks.
A video of three cops who were allegedly thrashed by a bootlegger and his aides on Thursday is making rounds on social media platforms.
The incident took place near the ST workshop in the Naroda area of Ahmedabad on Thursday and one of the policemen who was attacked in the video has been identified as Rudradatt Sinh of Navrangpura police.
In the 2 minutes 11 seconds long video, the cops can be seen chased down on the roads by the bootleggers. A report by the Times of India (TOI) revealed that police have gone into the area to nab the brother of bootlegger Jignesh Parmar.
However, it can be seen that the police were overpowered by the bootleggers in the area. They even tore the shirt of one of the cops before thrashing him.
In the viral video, the three cops can be seen being dragged, kicked, punched and brutally thrashed by the accused.
As per reports by TOI, a complaint has been registered against the accused with Naroda police after the video went viral.
