Book checked out in 1934 finally returned to Massachusetts library, accrued over $600 in fines
Fox News
A library book that was checked out for two weeks from a Massachusetts public library was finally returned 90 years later after someone found it in Washington, D.C.
The book's journey home took much longer than expected-far surpassing its original two-week loan. Sarah Rumpf-Whitten is a breaking news writer for Fox News Digital and Fox Business.
During its 90-year adventure, the book made its way to the nation's capital where it was found by a "far-flung patron" who discovered its rightful home in Greater Boston. She is a native of Massachusetts and is based in Orlando, Florida.
