The Shiv Sena on Thursday lashed out at the Opposition BJP over selective outrage, saying while the saffron party was vehemently demanding the arrest of police officer Sachin Vaze in the Mansukh Hiren death case, it was mum over the suicide of Dadra and Nagar Haveli MP Mohan Delkar. In an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamana, Shiv Sena said, "In Mumbai, MP Mohan Delkar took his life on February 22. A letter with the reasons for suicide was left behind by Delkar. Delkar's wife and children came to Mumbai on Wednesday. They gave a letter of request to the Chief Minister and the Home Minister and demanded an inquiry into Mohan Delkar's suicide. The speed at which the Opposition party is asking to investigate Mansukh Hiren's death, why is it that they are not seeking a probe into the suspicious deaths of Delkar and Anvay Naik at the same pace." The body of Mansukh Hiren, the owner of the vehicle found near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence, was fished out from the Mumbra creek in Thane on March 5. About 20 gelatin sticks and a threat letter addressed to the Ambani family was recovered from the car.
