BJP’s Ramapati Shastri sworn in as pro tem speaker of UP assembly

BJP MLA Ramapati Shastri was sworn in as pro tem Speaker of UP Assembly on Saturday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Ramapati Shastri has been sworn in as pro tem Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Assembly. Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath at Raj Bhavan.
Among other leaders, Jai Pratap Singh, Mata Prasad Pandey, Suresh Khanna were also sworn in.
All of them will administer the oath to all the remaining MLAs in the Legislative Assembly on March 28 and 29.
The distribution of portfolios to the ministers is likely to be announced by Saturday evening.
On Friday, Yogi Adityanath took oath as the Chief Minister of UP for the second consecutive term. The oath was administered by Governor Anandiben Patel.
Yogi has become the first CM in the state to return to power after completing a full tenure of five years.
