Bihar hooch tragedy: Probe on; drive against alcohol after Chhath, says CM Nitish Kumar

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said an investigation has been launched into the hooch tragedy that allegedly claimed at least eight lives on Wednesday in West Champaran district.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday, November 5, said that an investigation has been launched into the hooch tragedy, that has claimed over 40 lives in the past few days.

Extending his condolences to the families of the deceased, Nitish Kumar also said that an extensive drive to strictly enforce the ban on liquor in Bihar will be launched after Chhath.
