The Department of Homeland Security accused the hotel chain of a "coordinated campaign" to deny agents a stay at a Minnesota location.
Conservatives flipped out on social media Monday after the Department of Homeland Security claimed that Hilton Hotels & Resorts left “NO ROOM AT THE INN” for federal immigration agents at a location near Minneapolis, Minn.
In a post to X, DHS accused the chain of launching a “coordinated campaign” to cancel agents’ reservations after they attempted to book rooms using government email addresses and special rates.
“We have noticed an influx of [government] reservations made today that have been for DHS, and we are not allowing any ICE or immigration agents to stay at our property,” per an alleged email that was included as an attached screenshot.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement account also shared a screenshot of a purported cancellation email on X. The posts were published as the Trump administration reportedly began to deploy thousands of agents to the Minneapolis area.
Protests have previously popped up at Hilton properties suspected of housing immigration agents in the area.
