Biden says he’s optimistic about passing gun control through divided Senate

President Biden on Sunday expressed optimism about getting gun control legislation passed on Capitol Hill — claiming he’s done it before and can do it again.

“I’m the only one who’s ever gotten it passed, man,” Biden told reporters at New Castle Air National Guard Base in Delaware. “Everyone keeps wondering whether I care about dealing with rational gun control — the only gun control legislation ever passed is mine.
