Bhoomi Puja to be held at Lord Hanuman's birthplace in Tirupati on February 16

On February 16, a Bhoomi Puja will be performed at the Akasaganga temple in Tirupati where Anjanadri Anjaneya, the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, is located.
On the auspicious day of Magha Pournami on Wednesday, February 16, a Bhoomi Puja will be performed at Akasaganga in Tirupati, where Anjanadri Anjaneya is located. Anjanadri Anjaneya is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman.
Donors Narayanam Nageswara Rao and Murali Krishna along with renowned art director Ananda Sai will give designs for development activities like Gopurams (tower at the entrance of temples), a massive statue of Anjaneya etc.
Spiritual personalities including Sri Swarupannda Saraswati of Visakha Sarada Peetham, Chitrakoot Seer, Ramabhadracharyulu, Ram Janmabhoomi treasurer Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj, Koteswara Sarma and others will be gracing the momentous program.
Among the different ranges in Tirumala, Anjanadri is one of the most popular and a forefront synonym of Tirumala hills.
Anjanadri is available in the Sri Venkatachala Mahatyam, an anthology of Puranas related to Sri Venkatachala as approved by the great vaishnava saint Sri Ramanujacharya, about a thousand years ago.

Particularly, Skanda Purana, in its all presently available versions, gives a detailed account of Anjanadri as the birthplace of Lord Hanuman.
