A 35-year-old man on a scooter was crushed under the wheels of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus on Wednesday morning.
In a shocking incident, a bus in Bengaluru rammed a pillion scooter rider and killed him on Wednesday morning.
As per the report by the Hindu, a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus crushed an electrician identified as Prem Shankar Prasad near ITPL Road in Whitefield, while he was heading to work.
According to the report, the main driver, 19-year-old, Nasim Akhtar, has sustained injuries and is being treated at a private hospital.
A police officer said, "The duo hail from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh and worked for a private firm in Bengaluru. While they were on their way to work, the bus veered to the left in order to stop."
The reports revealed that Akhtar lost control of the scooter and rammed into the pavement. Prasad fell to the other side and was crushed under the wheels of the moving bus.
The driver has been booked by Whitefield traffic for rash and negligent driving and also death due to negligence.
