A gas delivery man was held for allegedly molesting a minor girl at her home in Barasat in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district on Thursday.
A gas delivery man was held for allegedly molesting a minor girl at her home in Barasat in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district on Thursday.
Police said the gas delivery man came when the 16-year-old girl was alone at home and attempted to molest her. The minor screamed for help, which alerted neighbours. Locals caught the suspect as he tried to get away and beat him up.
After being informed of the incident, local police rushed to the scene. The suspect was handed over to the police.
A complaint was lodged at Barasat police station and further investigation is underway. The suspect has been detained as of now, a senior police official told India Today.
