The Ram Temple construction work has been going on in Ayodhya for a few months. Some opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh, including SP and AAP, have recently levelled land purchase-related allegations. An Aaj Tak-India Today team went to Ayodhya to investigate the matter and find out the reality. Shriram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has bought the land for Rs 2.5 crore in Kot Ramchandar area, about 300 metres from the Ram Temple construction site. The opposition has also levelled allegations about this land. Land registry papers available with Aaj Tak say Ayodhya Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay's nephew Deepnarayan Upadhyay bought this land from Devendra Prasad Acharya for Rs 20 lakh and sold it to the trust for Rs 2.5 crore.
