England captain Joe Root copped a heavy blow on the helmet by a Ben Stokes bouncer in the nets ahead of the second Ashes Test starting in Adelaide on Thursday. Stokes bowled a short-pitched delivery which hit the top of Root's helmet. Luckily for England, Root seemingly looked unscathed from the blow. No surprises that Joe Root is the last to leave the nets at England training. Copped a knock to the helmet off Ben Stokes a bit earlier but didn’t appear affected.
