Army's prompt action saves two civilians from drowning in Kashmir

With the help of ropes, the troops jumped into the fast-flowing river and were able to save the two civilians from drowning.

The Indian Army rescued two people from drowning as they were stranded in their vehicle that was washed away in Marau River near Nawapachi village in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. The incident happened on Tuesday. Sajid Ahmad Mir, a resident of Anantnag, and Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Ramban, were in the JCB when it got washed away and submerged. The duo was working on the river bank.
