Army man shoots himself to death in Srinagar

The reason for him taking the extreme step could not be immediately known, official sources stated.

An army man shot himself to death using his service rifle in Badami Bagh Cantonment on Monday evening. Official sources said that one Sepoy Navin Singh of 9 Rashtriya Rifles, posted at Kulgam, died instantly after shooting himself with his service rifle inside the cantonment. However, the reason for him taking the extreme step could not be immediately known, they added. Confirming the incident, a police official said that a case regarding the incident has been filed and an investigation is underway.
