Army foils infiltration bid in J-K's Poonch; search operation underway

A massive search operation was launched in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir after security forces foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) around midnight.

The Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir last night, an official said on Friday. "Last night, there was an infiltration attempt along the LoC in Poonch. The infiltration bid has been foiled by effective fire by own troops on own side of the LoC," said a Defence spokesperson.
