Danish Kaneria differed with Arjuna Ranatunga and defended the Indian team selection, saying that the current crop of players are good enough to win comprehensively in Sri Lanka.

Former Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria has slammed World Cup-winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga for the statement he made about India sending a weak team for the upcoming limited-overs series in Sri Lanka. Ranatunga had hit out at the Sri Lankan cricket board, saying the governing body agreed to host the Indian side to cater to TV marketing needs and that it's an insult that a "weaker" team would be playing in the island nation while the big names like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are in England for next-month's five-Test series.
