Archaeologists at a dig site in Northern Peru called the Pacopampa Archaeological Project, uncovered a nearly 3,000-year-old tomb believed to honor high priest.
The tomb was covered with six layers of ash mixed with black earth, and was decorated with ceramic bowls. Greg Wehner is a breaking news reporter for Fox News Digital.
The tomb also had two seals along the upper edges of the tomb, which indicate ancient ritual body paint used for people with nobility, Peru’s Culture Ministry said on Saturday.
