Apollo launches Apterra Cross tyres for compact SUVs

The Apterra Cross tyres are being produced at Apollo Tyres' manufacturing facility in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu.

Apollo Tyres has launched a new range of tyres -- Apterra Cross -- in India for compact SUVs. Designed and developed at Apollo Tyres Global R&D Centre, Asia (located outside Chennai), the Apterra Cross tyres have been introduced after two years of testing and tuning. The Apterra Cross tyres are being produced at Apollo Tyres' manufacturing facility in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu. At a later date, these tyres will be introduced in ASEAN and SAARC markets as well. According to Apollo Tyres, the Apterra Cross tyres have twin steel belt with JCP protection for high puncture resistance. Also, high abrasion resistant multi polymer blend has been used for the tread to ensure longer tyre life.
