Antilia bomb scare case: Court denies bail to ex-cop Shinde, says he took part in conspiracy

The Special NIA court denied bail to ex-policeman Vinayak Shinde for allegedly participating in the conspiracy to plant explosives near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's south Mumbai residence.
A special NIA court denied bail to former policeman Vinayak Shinde for allegedly participating in the conspiracy to plant explosives near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's south Mumbai residence and knowingly misused parole granted to him in a fake encounter case.
Special Judge AT Wankhede made this observation on Tuesday, the detailed order of which was made available on Saturday.
Shinde, serving life imprisonment in the fake encounter case of Ramnarayan Gupta alias Lakhan Bhaiya, was out on parole when the Antilia bomb scare incident took place in February last year.
A suspicious SUV containing 20 gelatin sticks was found outside billionaire Mukesh Ambani's residence Antilia in Mumbai on February 25 last year. The SUV, a Scorpio, was spotted near the famous Antilia on Peddar road.
Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze was arrested by the NIA on March 13, 2021, in connection with the recovery of the explosives-laden vehicle.
