
Anil Sharma expresses concern over Salim Khan's health, prays for his recovery

Filmmaker Anil Sharma prayed for veteran screenwriter Salim Khan's health and wished him a speedy recovery on social media. Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on February 17 after reportedly suffering a blood clot.
Filmmaker Anil Sharma expressed his concern for veteran screenwriter Salim Khan's health after he was placed on a ventilator. The 90-year-old was admitted to Lilavati hospital on Tuesday morning after he suffered a minimal brain haemorrhage.
Sharma shared a clip of a newspaper article about Salim Khan's health on X and write, "Salim Khan saab ki sehat ke baare mein sunkar chinta hui. Dua karta hoon ki woh jald se jald swasth ho kar ghar laut aayein. Unka kalam hamare cinema ki pehchaan hai. Bhagwan unhe lambi aur sehatmand zindagi dein.(I was deeply concerned to hear about Salim Khan saab’s health. I pray that he recovers soon and returns home at the earliest. His pen is the identity of our cinema. May God bless him with a long and healthy life)."
Sharma’s message reflects the high regard in which Khan is held within the industry.
Doctors told the media on Wednesday afternoon that Khan was initially expected to undergo surgery. However, the procedure has been put on hold for now as he remains under observation.
Several celebrities and close family members arrived at Lilavati Hospital to check on his condition and offer their prayers. Poet, lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar visited the hospital twice.
Akhtar and Salim Khan co-wrote several blockbuster films through the 1970s and early 1980s, including Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewaar, Trishul, Shakti, and Mr India.
