The police arrested a man over charges of sexual assault within 9 minutes of receiving an alert in Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh Police’s 'Disha SOS' mobile application recorded another success on Friday when the police arrested an offender within 9 minutes of receiving an alert. According to police, a 20-year-old college student hailing from the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh was attacked by a sexual predator, while she was asleep at her residence. During the attack, the victim after managing to push the accused out of her house triggered the SOS alert precisely at 1.17 am on Friday. On receiving the alert, the local police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused within 9 minutes.
