QNADohaHis Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Sunday issued Amiri decision No 13 of 2022, establishing Doha University for Science and Technology. The decision is effective starting from its date of issue and is to be published in the Official Gazette. In June last year, the Cabinet had approved a draft Amiri decision to establish Doha University for Science and Technology. The university aims to provide Qatar with specialists, technicians and experts by preparing specialised cadres, with qualifications of all degrees, trained in academic, applied, technical and professional sectors in areas that meet the needs of society, government agencies, institutions and various sectors.The Doha University for Science and Technology is meant to achieve the goals of human, social and economic development in the country, and to achieve its objectives. The university shall approve and grant the appropriate degrees and certificates in accordance with the provisions of this resolution.
