In a first, several doctors in Tamil Nadu have reportedly been taking booster shots against Covid-19 in secret. It may be noted that such booster shots are not yet authorised by the government, but have been approved only for emergency use.
According to a report published in the Times of India (TOI), a doctor from ESI hospital revealed that some doctors are taking booster doses from private hospitals where stocks have piled up for several months, while others are using vaccines from government hospitals where a number of vials go unused.
