
Amber Alert issued for 3-year-old boy in Vancouver

Vancouver Police have issued an Amber Alert for a three-year-old boy, who they believe was abducted in Vancouver.
Police say Phaivanh Correia Chanthabouala was last seen at B.C. Children's Hospital on Oak Street. He is two feet tall, with black hair, and was wearing a grey zip-up, blue pants and red shoes.
The suspect is Jenny Chanthabouala, described as an Asian woman with long, black hair worn in dreadlocks. She was wearing a black jacket and black toque, glasses, grey sweat pants, brown Ugg boots, and a messenger bag with red, yellow and turquoise stripes. She has a tattoo sleeve on her right arm.
Police are warning the public not to approach her, but to call 911 instead.

Sarnia City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday morning to respond to social media comments made by Coun. Bill Dennis, who criticized city spending on a new mural by Indigenous artist Kennady Osborne as “virtue signalling by woke politicians” — then made a series of comments in response to a reply from Aamjiwnaang Chief Janelle Nahmabin that some have characterized as unprofessional and aggressive.
