Windsor police say officers are responding near the area of the Ambassador Bridge "for possible explosives."
The police service said on Monday morning officers are on scene, including the explosive disposal unit, and the area has been evacuated.
The bridge has been shut down for incoming U.S. traffic, police say, though Canada-to-U.S. travel is not affected.
Police are telling the public to avoid the area.
