India's T20I and ODI skipper Rohit Sharma will replace Ajinkya Rahane as Test vice-captain for the upcoming tour of South Africa.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday appointed Rohit Sharma as India's new vice-captain for the upcoming Test tour of South Africa. Rohit will be replacing Ajinkya Rahane as Virat Kohli's deputy for the series against South Africa. Rohit was handed over the responsibility to lead India in T20Is after Virat Kohli stepped down and he has also been named as India's captain in ODIs. While Rahane has been a regular in whites, Rohit's stocks have also risen in the purest format of the game.
