AIADMK's Edappadi K. Palaniswami criticizes DMK, promises mega alliance victory in 2026 elections, highlighting party's self-reliance.
Former Chief Minister and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has said that while the DMK believed only in alliances, the AIADMK believed in itself.
Mr. Palaniswami said that the DMK claimed that its alliance was strong. But in the 2026 Assembly elections, the AIADMK would form a mega alliance and win the elections.
He participated in a function at Attur where more than 500 cadres from various parties, including DMK, PMK, IJK, AMMK, and NTK, joined AIADMK.
Mr. Palaniswami said that the DMK government increased all taxes and burdened people. After the DMK came to power in 2021, the schemes brought by the AIADMK were kept in abeyance. The law and order was deteriorating in the State under the DMK regime and drugs were allegedly available everywhere, he added.
