AIADMK joint coordinator Edappadi K Palanisamy has been booked for protesting without permission and breaking Covid-19 protocol. A case has been filed against the Opposition leader and other party workers at Suramangalam, in Tamil Nadu’s Salem district. Palaniswami, along with party cadres, staged a protest in Salem against the ruling DMK on Wednesday, alleging that the party made false electoral promises in order to come to power in Tamil Nadu. Similar demonstrations were held across the state by AIADMK leaders, including party co-ordinator O Panneerselvam leading a protest in his native Theni district.
