A Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) team arrived at the Ranas' Mumbai residence on Monday morning, after the couple had left for Delhi the night before.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials inspected the residence of Independent MP Navneet Rana and her husband, MLA Ravi Rana, on Monday. The civic officials arrived at their home for inspection after the couple had left for Delhi.
The Ranas live in Khar West, Mumbai, in a nine-story apartment called La Vie.
On May 4, the BMC served them with a notice regarding an alleged altercation in their flat. The notice was issued in response to a complaint of illegal construction confirmed by a senior official from the H-West ward under Section 488 of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888.
At 11:30 am, a team of BMC officials arrived at their apartment. Following an hour-long inspection, a senior BMC officer confirmed that the premises had been surveyed.
The BMC team will investigate any violations of the rules and regulations, and further notice will be issued if action is required. However, no deadline has been set.
