Scotland have named a 15-man men's squad led by Richie Berrington, featuring George Munsey, Brandon McMullen and Safyaan Sharif, with travelling and non-travelling reserves added for depth.
Scotland has named their 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup 2026, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February, following their surprise entry into the tournament, with Richie Berrington appointed captain and 11 players retained from the 2024 edition.
The squad was selected by newly appointed men’s head coach Owen Dawkins, who took charge last month, after Scotland were confirmed as late entrants into the tournament.
Scotland has opted for continuity, with 11 members of the squad having featured in the 2024 T20 World Cup held in the West Indies and the USA.
Berrington will lead the side, while Tom Bruce, Finlay McCreath and Oliver Davidson are set to play their first T20 World Cup after featuring in Scotland’s T20 and ODI squads over the past year.
The squad selection remains subject to visa approvals for all players and support staff.
Fast bowler Zainullah Ihsan is the only first-time inclusion in the squad. The Afghan-born player recently completed the qualification process to represent Scotland and earns a maiden World Cup call-up.
