Adult elephant electrocuted in Assam’s Kamrup district; two people detained

On Friday, an adult elephant was electrocuted in Assam’s Kamrup district. Police have detained two people in connection with the incident.

On September 3, 2021, a horrifying incident was reported in Assam’s Kamrup district where one adult elephant was electrocuted. The incident took place in the Mirza area of Kamrup district in the wee hours of Friday where the elephant came into contact with a live electric fence installed around a paddy field.
