Actor Hemant Birje, wife injured in road accident near Mumbai-Pune Expressway

Hemant Birje and his wife suffered minor injuries after their car met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Bollywood actor Hemant Birje and his wife were injured in a road accident near Mumbai-Pune Expressway on January 11 night. The duo has reportedly suffered minor injuries. The car ran into the road divider near Urse toll plaza around 8 pm. According to a report by News18, while Hemant and his wife suffered minor injuries, their daughter was unhurt. Hemant and his wife are reportedly being treated at the Pawana hospital.

Hemant debuted in Hindi cinema in 1985 as Tarzan in Babbar Subhash’s Adventures of Tarzan, also starring Kimi Katkar. The actor used to regularly work with Mithun Chakraborty in his films. In 2005, Birje appeared in Garv: Pride and Honour, starring Salman Khan. He has also appeared in Malayalam and Telugu movies.
