
7-year-old girl dies in Smoky Mountain park when tree falls on tent

A large red maple tree fell on a tent in Tennessee's Great Smoky Mountain National Park on Wednesday, killing a 7-year-old girl who was visiting from Georgia with family.
The father and brothers were not injured, the park said.
The family was staying at the Elkmont Campground, located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Rangers arrived at about 12:30 a.m.
