At least five people, including children, were buried in debris after a house collapsed in Delhi's Narela area on Friday.
At least five people, including children, were buried in debris after a four-storey house collapsed in Delhi's Narela Industrial area on Friday. At least four fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
According to officials, two women were rescued from the debris and sent to a nearby hospital. Their condition is said to be stable. However, at least three more people, including a nine-year-old girl, were still under the rubble of the collapsed house. According to locals, there could be two or three more people under the debris.
The rescue workers were trying to remove the debris with the help of a JCB machine. There were no casualties in the incident.
"The incident was reported at 2.45 PM. The collapsed house was located in Rajiv Ratan Awas, a cluster of 300-400 flats," a fire brigade official said.
