4th Test: Jasprit Bumrah produced a lethal spell of fast bowling after lunch on Day 5 at the Oval in which he dismissed Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow and set the visitors on the way to victory.
Jasprit Bumrah said that the main objective was to maintain pressure in his post-lunch spell on Day 5 of the 4th Test which set India on their way to victory. Bumrah was at his best in the second session, particularly in a six-over spell immediately after lunch in which he bowled over Pope with a full delivery and then Bairstow with a trademark yorker in back-to-back overs. The two wickets ruled out any possibility of an England win and allowed Ravindra Jadeja to have a go at left-hander Moeen Ali, thus exposing the England tail. Captain Virat Kohli said after the match that Bumrah had asked for the ball to be given to him from the start of the second session at the end of the first.More Related News
