400 oxygen plants functional in state, work underway for 155 more: UP govt

The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday announced that 400 oxygen plants in the state have been made functional out of 555 plants which were sanctioned during the second coronavirus wave.

The Uttar Pradesh government announced on Friday that 400 oxygen-producing plants in the state have been operationalised, while work is underway for the other 155 plants to be functional. While reviewing the Covid-19 situation across the state in a high-level meeting with senior officials, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said,“12 more oxygen plants have become functional in the last 4 days. The process of establishing the remaining under-construction plants should be completed in a time-bound manner.”
