4 injured in firing at Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak

Four people were injured after being shot at in the Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak on Saturday.
Four people were injured after being shot at in the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak on Saturday. The incident took place after Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya left the campus after inaugurating a faculty development centre.
One of the injured youth is a student of the university, while information on the other three youths is not yet available. The injured were admitted to a private hospital.
The reasons for the firing incident are not known yet. According to the police, the matter is being investigated.
The security officer of Maharshi Dayanand University said that there was a fight between two groups regarding the transaction of money and in which this firing took place. Today, there was also a program of the Governor of Haryana in the university. Sometime after his departure, this firing incident took place, the security officer added.
Satbir Singh, Chief Security Officer at Maharshi Dayanand University, said, after getting information about the incident, police reached the spot.
