38 monkeys poisoned, stuffed in gunny bags and beaten to death in Karnataka's Hassan district

In Chowdanahalli village of Karnataka's Hassan district, miscreants poisoned over 50 monkeys, stuffed them in gunny bags and thrashed them. Thirty-eight monkeys were killed in the cruel act while 20 others were injured and rescued by villagers.

A shocking incident of animal cruelty has come to light in Chowdanahalli village of Karnataka's Hassan district. More than 35 monkeys were found killed and 20 others injured in the district's Chowdanahalli village. According to officials, the monkeys were poisoned, stuffed in gunny bags, beaten and thrown on the roadside near Chowdanahalli by some miscreants. The 20 monkeys injured in the barbaric act were immediately provided with water by the villagers.
