3.23 cr tap water connections given in 70 yrs, we gave 4.75 cr in 23 months: Union Jal Shakti minister

The Centre gave 4.87 crore tap water connections in 23 months as compared to 3.23 crore connections in 70 years after Independence, Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said on Thursday.

Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Thursday said that the Centre has provided 4.87 crore new tap water connections in 23 months as compared to 3.23 crore connections in 70 years after Independence.

“Despite Covid-19 pandemic and disruptions, the Centre has provided 4.87 crore new tap water connections in the last 22-23 months compared to 3.23 crore connections in 70 years after Independence,” Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said.
