Every year, it gets harder and harder to keep up with the overwhelming number of television shows being released at what feels like a near-daily rate. Judging by what’s already been announced for 2026, it may just be a repeat of the same. Still, there are a handful of series worth anticipating, and HuffPost’s Culture Team did the honors of rounding them up for you.
Of course, there are new seasons of some returning favorites, like “Euphoria,” “The Pitt,” “The Traitors,” “Bridgerton” and “Industry” — and that’s just in the first half of the year. There are plenty of brand-new shows to get amped about as well, including a reboot of “Scrubs,” prequels for “Game of Thrones,” “Power” and “Legally Blonde” and even the long-awaited “Lanterns” series, based on the DC comic.

‘His & Hers’ — Jan. 8
There are two sides to one incredibly twisted story in Netflix’s “His & Hers.” In the suspenseful six-episode series, after a body is discovered in a sleepy Georgia town, two estranged spouses — one a reporter (Tessa Thompson) and the other a lead detective (Jon Bernthal) — search for the truth in a murder case in which each believes the other is a prime suspect. The show also stars Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Marin Ireland and Poppy Liu. — Njera
