23-year-old man fatally struck by driver in downtown Brooklyn

A 23-year-old man was fatally struck by a driver in downtown Brooklyn early Thursday, cops said. 

The victim was walking through the intersection of the Flatbush Avenue Extension and Gold Street around 6:30 a.m. when a 67-year-old man in a 2017 grey Jeep struck him in the middle lane, police said.  The victim was taken with body trauma to the Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.
