Three people died early Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Moncton.
Codiac RCMP say the collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the traffic circle by Champlain Place Mall.
Police believe the crash occurred when a car entered the traffic circle in the wrong direction and collided head-on with the SUV, according to an RCMP release.
The driver and two passengers in the car, all in their 20s and from the Bathurst area, died at the scene. A fourth occupant was sent to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and three passengers in the SUV were treated for minor injuries.
An investigation is underway.

Sarnia City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday morning to respond to social media comments made by Coun. Bill Dennis, who criticized city spending on a new mural by Indigenous artist Kennady Osborne as “virtue signalling by woke politicians” — then made a series of comments in response to a reply from Aamjiwnaang Chief Janelle Nahmabin that some have characterized as unprofessional and aggressive.
