The Rajasthan Public Service Commission announced results for the Senior Teacher Competitive Examination 2024 with only 296 candidates clearing eligibility out of 168,206 applications. The shortfall highlights a worrying gap in qualified teachers for crucial subjects.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has revealed an unexpected outcome in the Senior Teacher Competitive Examination – 2024. Against 320 Science lecturer posts, only 296 candidates qualified for eligibility verification, even though 168,206 candidates had applied.
The examination was held on September 9, 2025, across 25 district headquarters. Out of the applicants, 1,17,364 candidates appeared. Yet, after the results were declared, it became clear that very few candidates could meet the minimum qualifying marks.
The recruitment exam had two papers.
Paper I: 200 marks (minimum 80 marks required)
Paper II: 300 marks (minimum 120 marks required)
Candidates had to secure 40 per cent separately in both papers. A large number failed to reach this basic requirement and were eliminated from further stages.

The CBSE Class 12 Economics exam 2026 was moderate and balanced, say teachers. The paper followed the CBSE pattern and NCERT syllabus, with a mix of theory, numericals, and case-based questions. While many questions were manageable, application-based and case study questions required careful reading and strong conceptual clarity.
