1 injured after apparent package explosion at Northeastern University

One person was injured when a package appeared to detonate on the campus of Northeastern University, a law enforcement source told CBS News. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the source said.
The package exploded when it was opened shortly after 7 p.m. ET. The injured person is a university staff member, CBS Boston reports.
The package was delivered to Holmes Hall, which was evacuated, CBS Boston reports. Night classes in nearby buildings were canceled, according to CBS Boston.
