Chief Minister Siddaramaiah highlights ₹80,000 crore distributed through guarantee schemes, responds to BJP allegations with development works.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said the Congress government had so far put ₹80,000 crore in the pockets of people through the five guarantee schemes.
Speaking after launching a slew of development works at Devanahalli, near here, as part of the celebrations to mark two years of the government, he said the Congress had been implementing all the promises made before the Assembly elections, and had even decided to implement the guarantees in the first Cabinet meeting itself.
Mr. Siddaramaiah said his government was responding with development works to the BJP’s allegations that there is no money for such works. “The BJP sees everything through stained lenses, which were caused during their rule. If they clean the lenses, they can see development during the Congress government’s tenure,” he added.
