Bengaluru police file chargesheet against nine accused in ₹7.11 crore ATM van robbery, backed by extensive evidence.
The Siddapura police have filed a chargesheet against nine accused in connection with the sensational ₹7.11 crore dacoity reported under Siddapura Police Station limits in Bengaluru on November 19.
After an extensive probe lasting three months, the Investigating Officer has submitted the final report to the 56th ACMM CCH Court.
The accused have been charged under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, including offences related to dacoity, wrongful restraint and confinement, criminal conspiracy, criminal intimidation, and destruction of evidence.
According to police, the charge sheet is backed by 129 documentary and material exhibits. The evidence includes eyewitness testimonies, technical data, and forensic findings, such as fingerprint analysis, that allegedly establish the involvement of the accused.
Senior officers stated that the swift completion of the investigation highlights the department’s resolve to ensure prompt legal action in serious financial crime cases. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, South division, commended the ACP of Jayanagar and his investigation team for completing the probe within the given timeframe.
Police said the progress of the trial will be closely tracked to ensure the case is taken to its logical conclusion.
