Doha, Qatar: The Zakat Affairs Department at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced that it has received more than 1,000 applications for assistance in paying school and university fees for the 2025–2026 academic year since the beginning of September.  Head of the Zakat Disbursement Section Abdulmonem Ali Al Hammadi, stated that over 750 of these applications have already been processed, and tuition fees are currently being paid on behalf of eligible students in private schools and local universities.
